CamelCrusher Rack for Apple Silicon

This is an Ableton Audio Effect Rack (.adg file) that works with the AU version of CamelCrusher. Macro variations in the effect rack have been stored to replicate all of CamelCrusher's default presets. Device parameters have been reassigned and colour-coded for ease of use. Parameters labelled "On/Off" are toggle switches: values 64 and higher are on, values 63 and lower are off.

Why is this useful?

CamelCrusher's GUI has been broken for years. This rack makes it easier to navigate the plugin and allows you to recall presets.

Why not use the VST2 version?

Since Apple acquired and abandoned Camel Audio, the VST2 version of CamelCrusher hasn't been (and likely never will be) compiled for Apple Silicon. And because there is no VST3 version, this leaves Apple Silicon users with just one option: the AU version. But unlike the VST2 version of CamelCrusher, the AU version doesn't have a preset dropdown selector (see image below). If you have a new Apple computer and really like to use the CamelCrusher presets, this rack is for you.

Note: On an Apple Silicon computer, you can force Live to recognize uncompiled VST2 plugins by running Live as an Intel application with Rosetta 2 (see this article for more information), but it's not recommended for performance reasons.
